Ce 21 octobre, à la même date que l'an dernier, alors que la Foire de Francfort s'ouvre, le Prix Astrid Lindgren (ALMA, Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, 5 millions de couronnes suédoises, 462.000 euros) a dévoilé les noms des 282 candidats retenus pour l'édition 2022, auteurs, illustrateurs ou organismes de promotion de la lecture et de la littérature de jeunesse. 282 candidatures dont 72 nouveaux noms, en provenance de 71 pays, contre 263 l'an dernier, lire ici). Verdict le mardi 22 mars 2022 (22-03-2022, presque un palindrome) où on saura qui succédera au Français Jean-Claude Mourlevat, lauréat 2021 (lire ici).Pour la Belgique? Il y avait cinq candidats l'an dernier (lire ici), il y en a six cette année, Gerda Dendooven rejoignant les artistes déjà retenus lors des éditions précédentes, à savoir Anne Brouillard, Carll Cneut, Ingrid Godon, Anne Herbauts et Thomas Lavachery.
Les candidats français sont différents des années précédentes. Apparaissent Gilles Bachelet, Marc Boutavant et Claude Ponti. Reviennent comme en 2020 Timothée de Fombelle, Bernard Friot, Marie-Aude Murail, François Place et François Roca, ainsi que l'association Quand les livres relient. Disparaissent notamment Olivier Douzou et Benjamin Chaud.
