Après un premier opus des plus prometteurs et cette fin à vous faire hurler, il me tardait de savoir ce que Natasha Knight allait me réserver dans cet ultime opus. Et vous savez quoi ? Ce fut spectaculaire !
Entre des tonnes de secrets et des nombreux soupçons, nous retrouvons Gabriela & Stefan dans un contexte oppressant. Et croyez-moi lorsque je vous dis que les dégâts étaient beaucoup plus importants de ce à quoi je m'attendais. Je me dois d'être honnête avec vous, j'ai eu très peur pour notre incroyable duo. Car après tout ce qu'ils ont traversé, ils vont devoir faire face à encore pal mal d'obstacles.
Stefan est un spécimen toujours aussi sexy, ultra protecteur, trop rude et perturbant. Cependant, il est déterminé à démasquer le responsable de ce désastre. Quand à Gabriela est plus têtue que jamais. Cette nana ne va pas se laisser faire. Cependant, elle ne peut lutter plus longtemps contre ses sentiments pour Stefan et elle va devoir faire des choix qui risquent de tout changer...
Quand aux autres personnages. Là encore l'autrice a fait un super boulot ! Tous sans exception ont leur importance. Certains sortent du lot et j'espère qu'ils auront également leur histoire. Tandis que d'autres vont vous donner des envies de meurtres.
En bref... Une conclusion à la hauteur de mes espérances ! Terriblement sombre. Divinement torride. Complètement déroutant. Et riche en rebondissements. Tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un excellentissime moment ! Si vous cherchez une lecture qui vous plonge dans le monde terriblement dangereux de la mafia avec une bonne dose de noirceur, de trahison, de secrets, de tension, d'action, d'érotisme et d'émotions brutes avec des personnages surprenants. Ces deux tomes de Collateral Damage est exactement ce qu'il vous faut ! L'univers et la plume habile de Natasha Knight me plaît de plus en plus. Et je pense que je vais bientôt découvrir ses autres livres...
It's midnight when we're back at the house and I carry her to my room. She doesn't resist when I strip off her clothes, her underthings still damp, and put her in the shower under a flow of hot water. "Christ, Gabriela," I start. "I want you." I roll off her and onto my side to slide my hand down over her belly.
